A fineness the palate cannot detect, a consistency that does not separate… Tahini, peanut butter and hazelnut spread demand real craft in progressive refining. The right machine combination turns that craft into a standard.
What it brings to Tahini & Nut Butter
The advantages that make the difference in this application area.
Progressive refining
Wet grinding + cutter mixer; a particle fineness the palate cannot detect.
Additive-free production
Natural, stabiliser-free spreads are possible with a wet grinding configuration.
No oil separation
Process temperature control delays oil separation in the jar.
Moving into spreads
Reach chocolate spreads on the same line with recipes that add sugar and cocoa.

Smoothness in oilseed butters
In tahini, peanut butter and hazelnut spread production, the goal is a particle fineness the palate cannot detect, achieved without oil separation. That does not happen in a single pass but through progressive refining: primary reduction by wet grinding, followed by homogenisation in a cutter mixer.
KITPRO G series grinders take on the first refining stage for roasted sesame and nuts, while L Series cutter mixers give the final texture and gloss in recipes where components such as sugar, cocoa or chocolate are added. You can watch our video showing pistachio cream production step by step on real machines.

From small producer to established brand
For regional tahini producers and boutique nut brands, a compact single-machine setup is enough; as production grows, moving to a grinder + mixer line multiplies capacity while standardising product quality. In both scenarios, all contact surfaces are AISI 304 stainless steel.
Controlling product temperature before packaging delays oil separation in the jar. Improve your shelf-life performance with control panels that monitor process temperature and optional cooled configurations.

Questions about Tahini & Nut Butter
Is it also suitable for sugar-free / additive-free spreads?
Yes. Natural spreads made from 100% nuts can be produced without stabilisers using a wet grinding configuration. Fineness and flow are adjusted through disc selection and the number of passes.
Can chocolate spread (cocoa paste) be produced?
Yes. Recipes that add sugar and cocoa to a hazelnut butter base are turned into a homogeneous spread in the L Series cutter mixer. The pistachio cream process in the video works on the same principle.
What setup is needed for 1 tonne of daily production?
Typically a G45 grinder combined with a 65 litre L Series mixer covers around 1 tonne per shift. Share your recipe and working pattern for exact sizing.
